About the Lycée Louis Pasteur - The Lycée Louis Pasteur in Calgary is a non-denominational private international school. The Lycée is based on an academic, structured environment and the education includes great diversity.
Its dual curriculum presents both French and English programs; students are also well advanced in Spanish by the time they reach high school. Graduates are prepared for a successful future in post-secondary education as well as travelling and working in diverse cultures in Canada and around the world.
The Lycée Louis Pasteur is part of a network of 485 international schools worldwide. In addition to our school, there are six other members of this network in Canada, including Vancouver, Montreal, Ottawa and Toronto. All lycées worldwide follow the same French curriculum, so students can move easily to another lycée anywhere in the world with little disruption to their education.
The Lycée Louis Pasteur is accredited by both Alberta Education and the French government, and both curriculums are followed. The Lycée combines basic principles of Albertan, North American and international education to offer an advanced academic program. An important goal of the program is to ensure that students achieve success on all of the key exams e.g. “the Brevet”, Alberta Provincial Achievement tests and Diploma exams, French Baccalauréat. The Brevet and Baccalauréat are the same at lycées across the globe.
